KALAH
the
Modern Krav Maga

It is important that we view self defence from the perspective of reality, and not from our own personal point of view. People have the wrong idea of what self defence actually is and what is required from them in order to protect themselves and their loved ones. There are many self defence organisations around the world that have provided people with idea that self defence is easy, fun and fast to learn - "everyone can do it". If we consider real attacks i.e. knife attacks, being held at gun point, bar fights and sexual assault, you will soon realise that nothing about it is fun, nor is it easy. Self defence is not about how cool or fluid the technique looks! It is about how effective it will be in reality.
Concepts of the KALAH Self Defence System are:
01. Cover - Learn the correct Guard and Stance
02. Close - Learn how to close the distance
03. Control - Learn how to Control the attacker and apply damaging strikes

The Kalah Defensive Combat has simplified techniques to enable skills to be able to applied by anyone, but, Kalah has increased the violence in training to prepare the student for the realism of an attack by teaching how to control your emotions in a threatening situation when your LIFE is in DANGER.

KALAH Defensive Combat has already been incorporated in several Military Units and Police Forces around the world due to its effectiveness as a Reality Based Form of
Defensive Combat.

If you work in an environment where you may encounter violent and dangerous people (Police, Corrections Facilities, Hospital, Ambulance First Responders, Security Staff and Crowd Controllers), this system of self defence is best suited for your needs. Also suited for the practitioner who is serious about Defensive Combat (SELF DEFENCE).

IDAN ABOLNIK - FOUNDER OF THE KALAH SYSTEM

Idan Abolnik is the founder and Chief Instructor of the KALAH Israeli Combat System.

Since he was 18 years old, he has served many years in the Israeli army and fought there in various special units. From an officer in the “Golani Unit”, one of the toughest units of the IDF, as a member of many high-risk operations, as an air marshal, as a sniper, as a trainer up to the bodyguard of various ministers and the former Israeli president, Idan has a background that makes him a recognized expert for violent situations and dangers.

After the end of his military service, Idan worked as a security expert and bodyguard for an international security company, training government agencies, police and military units, airlines and private companies around the world.

Based on his experience during and after his military service, he began to question the well known Krav Maga and in 2003 to create his own new system, initially known as “True Krav Maga”, now KALAH Israeli Combat System.

What does KALAH mean?

K-Krav in Hebrew meaning fight.

L-Lotar in Hebrew meaning fight against terror.

H-Hagahna in Hebrew meaning defense.

A+A Gives us the Star of David.

KALAH Principles are based on Idan Abolnik's IDF experience in the urban battlefield of unarmed defensive combat.

There are no rules when one defends their self. Just as much as the attacker has no rules. The attacker will use any means possible to obtain their objective. This is why self defense is not easy nor is survival an easy task.

KALAH Classes/Courses are designed to be realistic, effective and to the point.

The training will build the learner mentally and physically, increasing the odds of survival.
